WHY VIKING ACADEMY.
Companies are made up of people: the decision to create Viking Academy comes from the belief that a company can be considered excellent in its sector only if the quality level of its personnel is demonstrably at the highest possible professional standard, both in terms of technical skills and overall work approach.
The strategic goal of Viking Academy is therefore to create a new generation of telecommunications technicians specifically trained in the management of Ethernet Business Services, particularly through Carrier Grade Dedicated Point-to-Point connections, capable of delivering a level of service quality – and customer relationship – that is truly outstanding.
A CHOICE THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE.
Three principles inspired the creation of Viking Academy:
- investment in employees, always considered strategic resources;
- investment in training, the primary driver for the development of both skills and the market;
- the pursuit of excellence in working methods, as a priority offering to customers.
In addition to the desire to maintain the “Viking Standard” in delivering excellence in Ethernet Business Services, recognized nationwide by all telecommunications operators, Viking has always believed that the growth of a sector is not simply linked to the number of people involved, but to their actual professional preparation which, in turn, raises the quality level of customer demands.
THE COURSES.
The “TLC Professional Training” courses of Viking Academy develop both professional and interpersonal skills, preparing participants in a practical and realistic way to manage technical and specialist excellence in the telecommunications sector. In particular, innovative learning methodologies are used, involving active and responsible participation so that trainees immediately find themselves in a real working environment. Viking’s technical staff personally manages the training, verifying directly during daily activities the skills transmitted to students and their level of learning. In the case of RF Technicians, practical training on equipment and procedures (site survey, installation, maintenance) takes place alongside the daily activities of Viking teams performing field interventions; in the case of N.O.C. Operators, within the monitoring and proactive management of the transport network and last-mile connections.
INNOVATIVE ORGANIZATION.
Unlike traditional training courses, whether paid or free, Viking Academy provides that during the entire training period participants are included in the company organizational structure as Junior Technicians, with a real fixed-term employment contract lasting 6 months. For all those who successfully complete the course, there will immediately be the opportunity to access a job position within the company.
A REAL OPPORTUNITY TO ENTER THE JOB MARKET.
In addition to the concrete possibility of joining the Viking staff, participation in the Academy’s “TLC Professional Training” course allows participants to obtain a certificate confirming their preparation in the management of Carrier Grade connectivity services. Therefore, the certification as an Ethernet Business Services Specialist (specialized technician in Ethernet services for businesses), issued by Viking, will allow participants to be immediately considered as professionally qualified candidates for one of the most sought-after roles by telecommunications operators in Italy today.
THE PRIDE OF “DOING A GOOD JOB”.
The realization of this “opportunity outward” certainly represents motivation—both for Viking and for those who wish to enhance their professional skills—for creating what can be defined as “the value of people”.
The awareness that excellent technical preparation is an asset with real value and that, together with best practices, it can generate an increasingly strong market, makes Viking proud to share a path of personal and professional growth in line with the values that have characterized Viking’s evolution in more than 20 years of activity in the telecommunications sector.
